Treble Choir

This new local treble choir began September of 2009 and includes both boys and girls in the 3rd through 8th grades. Under the direction of Michelle Blumsack, the Mansfield Children's Choir focuses on vocal training as well as performance. Note reading, solfege and music theory are included in this exciting program. At least two performances per semester allow students to experience the joy of sharing their musical gifts with our community.

Director

The Mansfield Children's Choir is under the direction of Michelle Blumsack. Michelle graduated from Washington University in St. Louis. After graduating, she earned her teaching certificate in K-12 Vocal Music Education.

Miss Michelle (as her students call her) participated in her first choir when she was in the fifth grade. She loved the choir environment and continued through college. She sang in the elite St. Louis Chamber Chorus while attending Washington University in St. Louis. Also during college, Michelle was the Assistant Director for the Washington University Concert Choir and Musical Director of her college's a cappella group. As director, Michelle uses her experience and enthusiasm to inspire her choir members and encourage them to be their very best.
